Welcome
On Track: Class of 2007 is a study which has been tracking the progress of leavers from colleges and universities in Scotland. The study will help colleges and universities to understand the impact of their courses on students and to identify improvements that can be made for students of the future. Ultimately, the information collected will inform policy-makers, colleges and universities, employers and students.
A sample of students leaving college or university in 2007 (the ‘Class of 2007’) will be surveyed at regular stages: when they complete their course and then one, three and five years after leaving.
In total, just over 14,000 students took part in the first stage of the research in Autumn / Winter 2007-08. We would like to thank everyone for taking part. The second stage is now underway, surveying students approximately one year after completing their course.
The study has been commissioned by The Scottish Further and Higher Education Funding Council (SFC), with the support of Universities Scotland, the Association of Scotland’s Colleges and the national Union of Students in Scotland. IFF Research, an independent market research agency, has been contracted to undertake this study.
